Lebensmittel, Kaffee oder Sneakers – das sind die vertrauenswürdigsten Labels
Welchem Bio-Label kannst du vertrauen und welches Logo garantiert, dass das T-Shirt aus 100 Prozent Bio-Baumwolle besteht? Wir haben uns durch den Label-Dschungel gearbeitet und dir eine Liste zur Übersicht erstellt.
Auf fast jeder Verpackung prangt irgendeine Auszeichung. Um für dich etwas Licht in den Label-Dschungel zu bringen, haben wir hier vertrauenswürdige Labels aufgelistet: Aufgeteilt in die Kategorien Lebensmittel, Kaffee, Baumwolle, Kosmetikprodukte, Sneakers – und als saisonales Goodie noch Bademode.
1. Lebensmittel
Der WWF und andere Partner haben 31 Lebensmittel-Labels bezüglich Nachhaltigkeit geprüft. Die Bereiche Umwelt, soziale Aspekte, Tierwohl, Management, Prozesse und Kontrolle wurden bewertet. So vertrauenswürdig sind die Bio-Labels der zwei grossen Player Migros und Coop:
Naturaplan kennzeichnet Bioprodukte, die nach den Richtlinien von Bio Suisse hergestellt sind. Im Ratgeber des WWF erhält Naturaplan das Zertifikat «Ausgezeichnet». Das Coop-Eigenlabel erzielte in allen Bewertungsbereichen überdurchschnittliche Resultate. So gelten beispielsweise für in- und ausländische Produkte die gleichen Bedingungen, die in vielen Punkten über die gesetzlichen Anforderungen an den Biobau hinausgehen. Produkte aus dem Süden sind zusätzlich noch Max Havelaar zertifiziert.

Das Label Migros Bio erhielt im Ratgeber das Zertifikat «Sehr empfehlenswert». Für inländische Produkte gelten die Richtlinien der Bio Suisse. Für die Importe orientiert sich die Migros an den weniger strengen Anforderungen der EU-Bio-Verordnung mit Zusatzauflagen wie einem Verbot von Flugtransporten.

2. Kaffee
Wenn du Kaffee mit Fairtrade-Label wie jenes von Max Havelaar oder Claro auf der Packung kaufst, machst du schon vieles richtig. Beide erhielten im oben genannten WWF-Rating die Bewertung «Sehr empfehlenswert». Nicht nur feinen Kaffee trinken, sondern damit auch ein gemeinnütziges Projekt unterstützen – das kannst du mit Café RebelDía. Der Kaffee wird von autonomen Kooperativen aus Mexiko produziert. Mit dem Kauf der Bohnen unterstützt du die Zapatistas, die für die Autonomie und Menschenrechte indigener Menschen kämpfen, welche bis heute von der mexikanischen Regierung diskriminiert werden. Der Kaffee ist zudem auch noch biologisch angebaut.

3. Baumwolle
Die Labels Naturaline von Coop, Bio Cotton von Migros und Bio Cotton von C&A (von links nach rechts) versprechen Textilien aus 100 Prozent zertifizierter Bio-Baumwolle. Die Baumwolle von Naturaline ist zertifiziert durch BioRe. Die Kund*innen könnten mithilfe des Strichcodes den Weg der Naturaline-Baumwolle zurückverfolgen. Bei den Labels von Migros und C&A sind noch bis zu 30 Prozent andere Fasern im Produkt möglich. Bei anderen Labels wie beispielsweise Conscious von H&M ist Vorsicht geboten: Diese Labels «garantieren» nur, dass das Produkt mindestens 50 Prozent Bio-Baumwolle enthält.

4. Kosmetikprodukte
Coop hat das eigene Label Naturaline Swiss Cosmetics, mit dem sie Kosmetikprodukte aus natürlichen Rohstoffen bezeichnen. Zu weiteren vertrauenswürdigen Marken im Bereich Beauty gehört beispielsweise die Zürcher Marke Soeder*. Die Produkte sind zu 100 Prozent biologisch abbaubar und werden in der Schweiz hergestellt. 5. Sneakers
In den letzten Jahren sind unzählige Sneakers auf den Markt gekommen, die versprechen «fair» zu sein. So zum Beispiel die französische Marke Veja.
