Instagram-Accounts, die sich um das Leben in der besten Stadt der Schweiz drehen, gibt es eine Menge – allen voran natürlich auch unser eigener Account @tsri.ch. Nichtsdestotrotz gibt es einige Dinge an Zürich, die ihre Bewohner:innen verdutzt zurücklassen.
Gleich mehrere Instagram-Accounts haben sich in den letzten Wochen gegründet und sich jeweils ganz einem Zürcher Aufreger-Thema gewidmet. Nicht verwunderlich sind diese Nummer 1 Themen dabei vertreten: Überteuerte Wohnungen und mangelhafte Velorouten. Tsüri.ch möchte euch diese drei mehr oder noch weniger bekannten Instagram-Accounts über die absurden Seiten Zürichs nicht vorenthalten und hat dazu die Admins gefragt, weshalb sie sogar ein eigenes Insta-Profil angelegt haben.

Vor rund einem Monat gegründet, hat dieser Account schon über 1000 Abonnent:innen. Schlechte oder inexistente Velowege bleiben nach wie vor einer der grössten Aufreger-Themen der Bewohner:innen Zürichs, nicht zuletzt auch wegen der regelmässigen schweren Unfälle mit Velobeteiligung. Nichts weniger als «die dümmsten Fahrradwege Europas» bezeichnen die Admins die Veloinfrastruktur der Stadt in ihrer Insta-Bio.
Plötzlich endende Velostreifen, halbherzig angemalte Velospuren und die unbeliebten Mischzonen kommen bei den Posts schlecht weg. In seinen Texten kritisiert der Autor hauptsächlich das Fehlen jeglicher Konzepte in der Zürcher Verkehrsplanung. «Wenn die Stadt etwas macht, dann wollen wir, dass Sie es auch gut macht. Die «Velowege» sind tatsächlich eine kleine Katastrophe. Deshalb setzen wir uns gerne dafür ein. Nicht weil wir crazy Velofanatiker:innen sind (wir lieben auch Autos), sondern weil die Lösung so schlecht ist», erklären die Admins uns ihre Motivation per DM.

Wer in Zürich schonmal nach einer neuen Wohnung Ausschau halten musste, der:die weiss: Günstig wird die Sache nicht. Nirgends in der Schweiz sind die Wohnungsmieten so teuer wie in Zürich. Gleichzeitig sind in keiner Schweizer Stadt so wenig freie Wohnungen verfügbar wie in Zürich. Diesen Wohnungsnotstand scheinen nicht wenige Vermieter:innen schamlos ausnutzen zu wollen, indem sie ihre Wohnungen zu überrissenen Preisen anbieten.
Die Instagram-Seite «Wohnungswahnsinn Zürich» sammelt die frechsten Wohnugsinserate aus der Stadt und schlägt dabei auch gleich einen angemessen Mietpreis für die jeweiligen Objekte vor. Neben den überrissenen Mietpreise fällt auch auf, dass viele Wohnungsinserent:innen die überteuerten Mieten mit Vorteilen wie «im Herzen Zürichs» (Altstetten) oder «heimelig» (klein und dunkel) legitimieren versuchen und dabei offensichtlich scheitern.
«Je länger ich Inserate angeschaut habe (pro Tag schaue ich mir sicher 10-20 Inserate an), desto mehr war ich schockiert, was für Wahnsinns-Beträge für gewisse Wohnungen verlangt werden», erklärte uns der oder die Administrator:in, der:die lieber anonym bleiben möchte, gegenüber Tsüri.ch. «Noch schockierender finde ich, dass diese Wohnungen oft trotzdem relativ schnell weg gehen.» Weiter erklärt uns die Person, sie habe schon in Tokio und Bern gelebt und suche jetzt seit einem Jahr in Zürich eine Wohnung. Noch nirgends sei die Wohnungssituation schlimmer gewesen als hier. «Selbst die Corona-Krise, die praktisch überall in der Welt die Mietpreise zum sinken gebracht hat, hat in Zürich genau null Effekt gehabt. Im Gegenteil: Die Mieten steigen weiter munter an», schreibt sie uns auf Insta.

Doch gibt es ein Blatt, das wöchentlich in allen Briefkästen liegt und gar nicht so in dieses Selbstverständnis Zürichs passen will: Die Stadtzeitung «Tagblatt». Zwischen Neugeborenen-Fotos und absurden Kontaktannoncen finden sich Perlen des Lokaljournalismus, die man sonst nur auf dem Land kennt.
«Tagblatt Essentials» sei ein Einfraubetrieb einer 34-jährigen Zürcherin erfahren wir per Insta-DM. Der eingefleischte Tagblatt-Fan erklärt uns, wie es dazu kam: «Entstanden ist das Projekt letztes Jahr. Das Paar, welches ich auf einer einsamen Insel kennenlernen durfte, erhielt in ihrer Heimatstadt tatsächlich kein Tagblatt zugestellt! Während eines unserer ausgedehnten abendlichen Gesprächen wurde beschlossen, dass diesem Missstand Einhalt geboten werden müsse. Das eigentliche Highlight dieser mittwöchentlichen News-Updates waren dabei die #züribabies. Dass sich so allerlei anderes Kurioses in diesem hervorragenden Printmedium findet, erschloss sich mir erst nach und nach, und auch heute staune ich immer wieder über sein hohes realsatirisches Potential.»
Auch wenn die Followerzahl der Seite noch zweistellig ist, bezeichnet unsere Community-Redaktorin Seraina «Tagblatt Essentials» als unterschätzteste Insta-Page Zürichs. Wir bleiben jedenfalls dran an den #züribabies und co.
